The person at the center of our model

Our model is person-centered and is inspired by the thinking of St. Marie Eugenie. St. Marie Eugenie's thinking.. It starts from the recognition that each student is unique, capable of learning, living together, reflecting and transforming the world based on Gospel values.

Our model is person-centered and is inspired by the thought of St. Marie Eugenie. It starts from the recognition that each student is unique, capable of learning, living together, reflecting and transforming the world based on Gospel values.

The MPPA is based on an integral and solidary humanism; it articulates four essential dimensions:

  • Evangelist
  • Anthropological
  • Sociopolitics
  • Pedagogical

These dimensions are lived in the classroom, in the community and in the daily life of the school, promoting meaningful learning, a critical sense, interiority, a culture of effort and social commitment.

Assumption Pedagogical-Pastoral Model

At Instituto Asunción, learning is born from experience, connected to reality and built in community. We are committed to a project-based educational model, where each student is the protagonist of his or her process and develops cognitive, social and personal skills that give meaning to what he or she learns in the areas of knowledge.

We start from an integral and contextualized curriculum that intertwines the different formative fields: scientific thought, languages, ethics, nature, society and community. Thus, our students:

  • They relate what is new to what they already know.
  • Collaborate with others to build learning.
  • They develop competencies that enable them to respond to reality.

Inclusion, critical thinking, interculturalism, gender equality, healthy living, arts and aesthetics are cross-cutting themes that enrich the projects and activities. This strengthens children and young people's integrative vision of the world and lays the foundations for a fulfilling personal and professional life.

To achieve the above, we have a very important team of specialty coordinators who accompany and enrich the different areas of learning. This team:

  • Strengthens the teaching work.
  • Provides academic follow-up.
  • Accompanies projects, competitions and national and international experiences.

All this work is articulated with the Academic Direction, which guarantees the achievement of the graduation profile of our students and the effective implementation of the Asunción educational model.

We believe that a student who feels safe and accompanied can unfold his or her full potential. For this reason, we have a model of integral accompaniment that addresses the emotional, social and cognitive dimensions:

  • The Educational Coordinating Offices and Advisors lead prevention and school coexistence projects.
  • The Psychology Department collaborates with teachers, families and specialists to provide psychosocial support when necessary.

At Asunción, learning is not just about acquiring knowledge; all educational experiences awaken curiosity, strengthen reflection and develop key competencies for the present and the future. Our students learn to think critically, to collaborate, to express themselves clearly and to act responsibly in an ever-changing world.

Instituto Asunción promotes a multilingual and multicultural education as part of its commitment to a global education. Throughout their school career, our students learn:

  • English: Our Bilingual Educational Model Asuncion (MEBA) guarantees a high experiential mastery of the language, reaching high international standards according to the Common European Framework of Reference, through the certifications of the University of Cambridge up to level C1 at the end of CCH (Highschool), as well as a specialization with the Business Course, Global English Course and Teacher's Course programs.
  • French; available as a second language in after-school workshops, taught by the Alliance Française de Mexico (AFM).

Beyond linguistic proficiency, we seek that the learning of other languages open cultural horizonsdevelop critical thinking, and encourage respect for diversity.
